1. Discover Timanfaya National Park <\/strong><\/p>\n\n

Timanfaya National Park<\/strong> is unique in Spain for its geological value, formed by the volcanic eruptions that took place between 1720 and 1736, and in 1824. Its landscape, marked by the absence of vegetation, rugged reliefs, a diversity of colours and the silhouettes of volcanoes beside the coast, creates a setting of impressive natural beauty <\/p>\n\n

2. Explore Cueva de los Verdes<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

Have you ever visited the inside of a volcanic tube<\/strong>? Cueva de los Verdes<\/strong> is a natural tube formed around 23,000 years ago by the eruption of the Corona Volcano. The guided tour lasts approximately one hour and surprises visitors with its mysterious underground route, featuring narrow spaces that are not difficult for most visitors <\/p>\n\n

<\/p>\n\n

Along its route there are at least sixteen jameos, small natural cavities that open up within the tube. The more than six kilometres of gallery extend from the volcano\u2019s crater down towards the sea, continuing into an underwater section of approximately one and a half kilometres, known as the \u201cTunnel of Atlantis\u201d.<\/strong> It is a unique experience that combines geology, history and adventure <\/p>\n\n

3. Jameos del Agua<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

<\/p>\n\n

Jameos del Agua is one of C\u00e9sar Manrique\u2019s most iconic interventions, designed to integrate art, architecture and nature within a unique volcanic setting. It is located right next to Cueva de los Verdes,<\/strong> as both form part of the same lava tunnel created by the eruption of the Corona Volcano <\/p>\n\n

<\/p>\n\n

Its name comes from the inner lake formed by seawater seepage, where the blind albino crab (<\/em><\/strong>Munidopsis polymorpha), an endemic species of Lanzarote, lives. This ecosystem makes the space a place of great scientific and environmental value <\/p>\n\n

<\/p>\n\n

In addition to its volcanic cavities and artistic design, Jameos del Agua is home to the House of the Volcanoes, a scientific outreach centre with interactive experiences, augmented reality and simulations that help visitors better understand the island\u2019s volcanic activity.
